EVERY SONG'S DESCRIPTION HAS A LINK TO ITS VERY OWN MUSIC VIDEO ON YOUTUBE (right above the lyrics).
I used the kind of rudimentary animation effects for these that I once used to use to create elementary art lessons when I taught school.

Like many of my music titles, the working title for this project was biblical ..., riffing on Samson - 'Honey From the Corpse of a Lion', but looking at songs through the perspective of King David's failings/redemption fits better.

This album is a conceptual sequel to 2005's 'Finding Grace', revisiting the same post-urban thoughts and living in the South themes, through older eyes and tidier behavior choices, with more careful arranging than any project I've ever done.

I believe you have here my most satisfactory dive into 'guitar-as-trombone' yet; in 'Barn Door', think of everything going on in the Southern Rock guitar maelstrom as trumpets and 'bones.

Much gratitude and respect to every guest on the record, and to Glenn Denny at G&D Recording for the dandy foundational vox/gtr/drum & guest overdub tracks he caught. Special thanks to drummer Bill Smith for coming back during the 11th hour to add layers of crucial hand percussion.
