Mourning the death of David Crosby, this second set of 'hard-ambient' TftL instrumentals was recorded using modified electric guitar, signal processing, in real-time, during January 2023. I always appreciated his delicate acoustic musings and his lead guitar splat.
1. During the extended solos on 'BIRD' (which is loosely based on changes in a Jefferey Frederick song 'Red Newt'), I am leaning into the guitar's ability to approximate trombone-like phrasing. It's a documented fact that the original 'fuzz' pedal was engineered to imitate the buzz of a horn's reed ... I'd like to prove they were running on a solid hunch.
2. 'Potential' expands on themes in a sung-song of mine from the 90's called 'I LOVE YOU TOO HARD'.
