I do hope you've had a good 2022.
Many have.
We have, mostly, but mid-year I decided my world needed a RESET, the first since I got off pain-killers 15 years ago following the leg-break.

Addiction creates lasting, stumbling bricks of bad clay in relationships every time. It has with me, my friends and family, co-workers by the bushels, and half of the people we've known and grown up with all these years. Addicts and alcoholics are more fun, after all.

I had to sever a lot of ties that were connected with amplifying my dysfunction, and in so doing, have been able - since August and, God willing, from now on - to not drink myself to sleep every night as I have since the 1970s.

Keep me in your prayers. I've left a trail of 7 dys-communicative bridges that needed to be burned for now, instead concentrating on what can happen when I decline to self-medicate.
A trade worth making, so far.
