DUST SETTLING grew from a melody fragment that has been in my head for a week. I've fallen asleep humming it in my mind.
This morning, after practicing parts on my 'fussy' acoustic guitar, I switched to my wife's ever-reliable Fender and, using my foot as a metronome, recorded all of the bits in a single sitting, end-to-end. The knuckle on my left hand that gets stuck, didn't.
I pulled these WAVs into my studio and broke them apart into three stereo tracks of blended components. This one's free. I hope it communicates, in waves, my tentative joy. America feels cleaner today.
